Brer Rabbit also known as Brother Rabbit was inspired by a 17th century Italian silk first registered for fabric production in 1882 and named after the Uncle Remus childrens books popular at the time. The wallpaper has been reproduced from the original fabric and comes in a range of colours to co-ordinate with a new range of textiles. Shown here in a church red colourway. Use the Brer Rabbit wallpaper for a feature wall in a bedroom and hallway or perhaps to cover an entire living room or dining room. This wallpaper is part of the Morris Volume IV wallpapers collection. Application Method: paste the wall and then apply wallpaper. Pattern match:Straight. Vertical repeat: 40.6cm.
I love the Brer Rabbit wallpaper for its timeless, intricate pattern that offers a subtle nod to classic design with a contemporary twist. Its slate vellum colourway makes it versatile, working particularly well in cosy living rooms or classic bedrooms where a gentle, sophisticated backdrop is desired. For styling, I’d recommend pairing it with neutral, textured fabrics and understated furnishings to allow the pattern to take centre stage. It’s also worth considering vertical or horizontal paneling underneath to add depth and dimension to the space. This wallpaper establishes a calm, refined atmosphere, and combined with carefully chosen accessories, it can become a focal point that adds warmth and character to a variety of interiors.
