Brer Rabbit also known as Brother Rabbit was inspired by a 17th century Italian silk first registered for fabric production in 1882 and named after the Uncle Remus childrens books popular at the time. The wallpaper has been reproduced from the original fabric and comes in a range of colours to co-ordinate with a new range of textiles. Shown here in a church red colourway. Use the Brer Rabbit wallpaper for a feature wall in a bedroom and hallway or perhaps to cover an entire living room or dining room. This wallpaper is part of the Morris Volume IV wallpapers collection. Application Method: paste the wall and then apply wallpaper. Pattern match:Straight. Vertical repeat: 40.6cm.
This wallpaper is a great choice for adding a vintage-inspired touch to a space. I love how its rich church red hue lends warmth and depth, making it work well in cosy reading nooks or feature walls in living areas. It pairs beautifully with muted furnishings or antique accessories, allowing the intricate details to stand out without overwhelming the room. For practical styling, I suggest balancing the bold pattern with simpler, solid-colour furniture and keeping accessories minimal, so the wall remains the focal point. In terms of interior style, it suits traditional or eclectic decor but can also add a unexpected punch to more modern schemes when paired with contemporary accents.
