Description

A design classic, this traditional outdoor dining set will add a natural charm to any outdoor space. With its beautiful blend of wood and weave, the teak table, teak bench and rattan chair combination is a sophisticated way to dine outdoors. The high-back Chedworth dining chairs are made in a smooth all-weather rattan in Sandstone. They're built on aluminium frames, which are lightweight, easy to move and maintain. Blissfully comfortable, Herringbone Barley seat and pinched-back cushions are made from soft-touch, season-proof fabric which is water, stain and frost-resistant. The rectangular Kuta table and bench are crafted from solid, precision-cut teak with a smooth finish. Left untreated, the teak will mellow to a beautifully weathered silver grey. Key features: Five garden dining armchairs Rectangular refectory-style dining table and 3-seater bench made of naturally weather-resistant teak wood Armchairs crafted from maintenance-free outdoor rattan in Sandstone, on lightweight and robust aluminium frames Season-proof cushions in Herringbone Barley are water, UV and stain resistant Made with recyclable materials Care information Use warm soapy water and a soft scrubbing brush to clean the table and bench If the wood has stained, use a fine grade sandpaper and reapply treatment if required. Bramblecrest advise against the use of teak oil as it can make the furniture turn black, sticky and patchy in colour We do not recommend covering teak furniture, due to it being a natural product. Store teak components indoors during the winter months. If teak is covered, check weekly for mould and damp Remove surface dirt on the chairs using warm water or a hose and a non-abrasive scrubbing brush or sponge. Jet-spraying may damage the rattan Remove spillages on cushions immediately using an absorbent sponge or cloth. For stubborn stains, hand wash at 30°C using a household stain remover. Do not machine wash season-proof cushions or cushion covers All Bramblecrest cushions are season-proof and are lined with a plastic membrane designed to prevent water ingress Cushions can remain outside during light showers and need to be stored during prolonged periods of non-use

Our Stylist Says

I love this set because of its versatile, timeless appeal - the teak table and bench add natural warmth and durability, ideal for outdoor use, while the rattan chairs bring a relaxed, coastal vibe that suits both modern and more traditional gardens. It works particularly well in rural or contemporary outdoor spaces, especially when styled with neutral tones and soft textiles like cushions to create a welcoming atmosphere. For practical styling tips, add a colourful table runner or placemats to protect the surface and introduce a pop of colour. Incorporating outdoor lighting, such as lanterns or fairy lights, can also elevate the setting for evening gatherings. Overall, it’s an adaptable choice that balances functionality with style, perfect for family meals or casual entertaining.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
