Description
Designed by Ayush Kasliwal, the statement Bowl Coffee Table is a perfectly balanced piece contrasting a delicately curved wooden surface and elegantly tapered steel legs. Characterised by its striking surface, the wooden table top is handcrafted with sustainable Indian mango wood. Hand-turned on a lathe using a traditional technique from the Indian wood-turning community of Kharadi, the table top is curved upwards to emulate a bowl silhouette and stained in a sophisticated sirka grey hue. Keeping respect to the environment at the forefront of the design, mango wood is only harvested at the end of the tree's productive life and another is planted in its place. The hand-turned wood is then coated in a lead-free, water-based PU lacquer in keeping with its eco-friendly objectives. Elevated on three elegantly tapered milled steel legs, the Bowl Coffee Table would make a unique centrepiece and is sure to add a touch of contemporary style to any setting.
