I’m a fan of the boucle bench for its tactile looped fabric and neat storage compartment - the soft neutral hue and slim black legs work equally well in Scandi-inspired, modern farmhouse or minimalist city flats. It’s perfectly sized for the end of a bed or a hallway alcove, adding both extra seating and a discreet place to stash throws, shoes or children’s toys.
To style it, position a shallow rattan tray on one end for keys and post, then drape a folded woollen throw over the corner and top with a single textured cushion. This keeps the look organised and makes the bench feel cosy without overwhelming your existing colour palette.
