Description

A perfect choice for a family home, the Boston Wool Border rug’s beautifully hand crafted design will draw attention to your stylish living space. Traditionally made in India, this rug is hand tufted in 100% wool that feels warm underfoot and can even improve sound insulation for a quieter and comfier room. As it is crafted from a natural fibre, some shedding is to be expected and is a sign that the rug is rich in natural wool. A bedding in time of a few months will allow the Boston rug to properly settle in and can be managed with a weekly vacuum, ideally with a suction type attachment, to remove any loose fibres. Don’t forget to buy our anti-slip mat. Here. , available in a choice of sizes. For regular cleaning, we recommend using a suction-type vacuum to ensure that rotating brushes won't damage the wool pile. In the case of an accidental spillage, blot with a clean and dry cloth. Due to the woollen composition of our Boston Wool Border rug a small amount of fibre loss is normal, but simply trim loose fibres with household scissors. To keep your rug looking fresh and even rotate regularly to balance out wear. When you receive your rug, we recommend re-rolling with the shaggy pile facing outwards for 24 hours in a warm room. This will help your rug settle flat with ease. Our Boston Wool Border rugs can also be used on heated floors to keep you extra toasty! To be safe, keep away from fires such as lit candles and don't leave children and babies unsupervised on this rug.

Our Stylist Says

I love how the navy wool border rug brings both depth and structure to a child’s space without feeling too grown-up. The rich navy tone works brilliantly against lighter walls or softened by pastel accessories, and the simple border detail gives a neat, tailored finish that helps define play or reading zones. Being 100 % wool, it’s naturally hard-wearing, noise-dampening and a pleasure under bare feet - perfect for bedrooms, playrooms or even a snug study corner. For styling, pair it with oak or pale-ash furniture to keep the scheme light and fresh, then introduce pops of colour - mustard cushions or coral storage boxes - to balance the deep blue. If you’re worried about spills, a thin clear runner at the door can protect the edge, or consider an underlay to keep it firmly in place and add extra cushioning. Layer a smaller patterned mat or a sheepskin on top to create cosy reading nooks that children will love.
