Description

Making a house a home is something we all love to do, so why not do it by unleashing your love of industrial design for the whole world to see? That’s what we thought when we saw the Boston Bookcase for the first time, and we haven’t looked back since. It’s elegant, refined and designed to be strikingly minimalist all at the same time. Stand back and admire the contrast between the dark grey and vibrant oak, or come closer and take in the quality of the craftsmanship. It’s what owning a Metal Bookcase is all about.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Boston Bookcase for its clean, industrial aesthetic and versatile design. It works well in modern, minimalist interiors, but its straightforward style also complements contemporary and even rustic spaces. Practical styling tips include mixing open shelving with decorative boxes or baskets to keep clutter down, and layering books with everyday objects like small plants or artwork for visual interest. Its slim profile makes it ideal for tighter spaces, while the natural wood elements add warmth to balance the metal frame. Overall, this piece offers both function and style, making it a great addition to living rooms, home offices, or even bedrooms.

About The Range

Founded in 1989, The Range is the fastest growing retailer in the UK with an extensive selection to cater to a variety of styles and budgets. The Range provides affordable and quality products to enhance your living space.

Humble Beginnings

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.

A Visionary Leader

Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.

More Than Just Stores

You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
