Description

A sideboard can be a versatile a furnishing essential. Whether used to store dining accessories or given an updated role as a repository for home office essentials, this Boston sideboard is a bold contemporary design statement. The distressed urban finish is accentuated by the chunky construction with 30mm top panel. The symmetrical form incorporates a central column of drawers, flanked by a pair of cupboard doors. The industrial look is accentuated with black metal handles and wooden frame in contrasting dark grey.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this Boston sideboard because its muted grey frame and lightly distressed panels bring a clean, lived-in feel without overpowering a room. The simple lines and black iron-style handles suit both Scandi-inspired and more traditional schemes, and its combination of two doors and three drawers makes it genuinely useful for stashing linens, tableware or media. To style, I’d keep the top uncluttered - perhaps a low stack of books, a ceramic vase with foliage and a sculptural lamp - and balance the look with a mirror or framed print above. In a hallway it works as a drop-zone; in a living room it’s equally handy as a drinks cabinet or TV console.

About The Range

Founded in 1989, The Range is the fastest growing retailer in the UK with an extensive selection to cater to a variety of styles and budgets. The Range provides affordable and quality products to enhance your living space.

Humble Beginnings

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.

A Visionary Leader

Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.

More Than Just Stores

You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
