Combining many of the monarchical symbols of England such as the Tudor Rose roaring lion and the oak tree Boscobel Oak is a unique take on a traditional damask print. Taking its name from the great oak in Boscobel Wood – which helped Charles II hide from the Roundhead soldiers pursuing him later becoming known as the Royal Oak – it is an ode to the most-regal of English symbols. It is presented in gilded palettes emulating the beautifully aged textures of oxidised metals including Metallic Antique Gold on Black; Metallic Gold on Oat; Metallic Autumnal Gold on Claret; and Metallic Gilver on Ink. Part of the Pearwood collection. Application Method: paste the wall and then apply wallpaper. Pattern match: half drop. Vertical repeat: 27cm.
Boscobel Oak provides a striking yet refined aesthetic, making it ideal for adding a touch of opulence to both contemporary and traditional interiors. I love how its rich metallic autumnal gold highlights bring warmth and character, perfect for creating focal points in living rooms or feature walls. For styling, consider pairing it with deep, muted colours or neutral furnishings to really let the pattern and shimmer stand out. It's versatile enough to work in spacious areas as a statement piece, but also effective in smaller settings when used sparingly. Practical tips include ensuring the wallpaper is applied in well-lit spaces to enhance its metallic accents, and complementing it with understated accessories to balance the ornate pattern without overwhelming the space.
