Description

The Borgia Mondiana Dining Chair with a grey fabric seat and hard wood back creates a luxury yet welcoming feel, which will add style and glamour to any dining area. Also available in this range is the Borgia Dining Table, which is the ideal companion to the Borgia Dining Chair.

Our Stylist Says

The Borgia Mondiana dining chair is a sleek, versatile piece that works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist interiors thanks to its clean lines and muted grey fabric. I love how the fabric seat adds a touch of softness and comfort, making it practical for longer dinners or everyday use. For styling, pairing it with a mix of wood and metal finishes in your dining area can create visual interest, while its neutral tone makes it easy to incorporate into various colour schemes. To avoid overly uniform spaces, consider adding cushions or throws in contrasting textures or colours, which can also enhance comfort and personalise the look. This chair is a smart choice for those seeking a stylish, functional seating option that adapts well to different interior themes.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
