Description

Design. The stunning Borgia 4 Door Sideboard presents bold yet elegant lines. Its luxurious feel is created by its high gloss Koto wood, which reflects the light beautifully. The Borgia 4 door sideboard is a gorgeous addition to any dining or living area and is sure to add glamour and personality.

Our Stylist Says

The Borgia 4 Door Koto Wood Sideboard is a sleek, versatile piece that works particularly well in contemporary and minimalist interiors thanks to its grey gloss finish and clean lines. I love how it can serve as both a practical storage solution and a stylish statement piece. For styling, try layering some decorative items on top-such as a mix of modern vases, a stack of coffee table books, or a statement lamp-to add personality without cluttering. It also pairs well with other cool-toned furniture and metallic accents to create a cohesive look. For added visual interest, consider contrasting its modern gloss finish with warm textures like a soft rug or natural wood accessories nearby. The sideboard's neutral tone makes it adaptable across various colour schemes-from monochrome schemes to more vibrant settings.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
