Tastefully combining its founders' creative vision with the talent of countless collaborations, Vij5 is best known for its beautifully crafted furniture, lighting and unique home accessories. Made by artist Jeroen Wand in collaboration with Vij5, this stackable chair was originally designed for the educational room of the Stedelijk Museum 's-Hertogenbosch. The chair is sturdy and robust and has a very distinct design, in which the combination of oak and plywood elements give it an uncomplicated yet elegant appearance.
I really like this chair because of its simple, modern lines combined with natural wood tones, which make it a versatile piece suitable for a variety of dining spaces. The blue Rime fabric adds a subtle pop of colour without overwhelming, making it perfect for both contemporary and Scandi-inspired interiors. For styling, I recommend pairing it with a minimalist table or mixing with warmer wooden or textured surfaces to create contrast. It's also worth considering its practicality - the upholstery is durable and easy to clean, ideal for everyday use in family homes or casual dining settings. To keep the look fresh, style with neutral tableware and perhaps some colourful textiles or accessories to add personality.
