Created by Jane for the major exhibition 'Making Paradise' at the Aga Khan Centre Gallery and beautifully reproduced from her intricate blue Biro drawing 'Dear Nightingale' is the first design for her ceramic tile diptych displayed in the exhibition. Inspired by Attar's 12th-century poem 'The Conference of the Birds', the drawing features avian characters from the poem and an Islamic tile pattern from Shah-i-Zinda, Jane's meticulous drawings take several months to research and make. Sumptuous signed and numbered limited edition archival pigment print, made by one of the very best printmakers in the industry. Original Biro drawing by Jane Lee Mc. Cracken. Edition: 25. Paper:Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm. Permanent for greater than 250 years under normal glass. 275 years displayed behind UV glass before noticeable fading and/or changes in colour balance occur. Print is signed and numbered by Jane. Print is sold unframed.
The Blue Dear Nightingale print by Jane Lee Mccracken is a striking choice for adding colour and interest to a contemporary space. I love how its intricate detailing and soothing blue tones make it versatile, working particularly well in neutral or modern interiors where it can act as a statement piece. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with simple, clean-lined furniture to let the artwork stand out. It also works well above a mantle or in a dedicated art nook for a personalised touch. Practical tip: adding a slim white or blue frame will enhance its delicate details without overwhelming the design.
