Description

Made of weighty agate, formed when volcanic lava bubbles cool and slowly fill with crystalline bands, this set of eye-catching bookends have been cut, polished and dyed to accentuate the natural patterns within. Available in pink and green.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Blue Agate Bookends for their natural elegance and texture, making them a versatile addition to both classic and contemporary interiors. Their rich blue tones and organic form add a subtle pop of colour while maintaining a refined look. These would work beautifully on a bookshelf or a mantel, especially in spaces where you want to introduce a touch of sophistication without overpowering the decor. Practical styling tips include pairing them with vintage or neutral-toned books to highlight their colours and textures, or situating them among other natural materials like wood or woven fibres for a cohesive, earthy aesthetic. They're perfect for adding character and elegance to a home office, living room, or library.

About Graham & Green

Founded in 1974, Graham & Green are a family business that started in Notting Hill, and have many pieces that bring touch of individuality and character to any space.

The Inception of a Lifestyle Brand

In 1974, Antonia started Graham & Green after a trip to India. She wanted to be independent and worked with traders from different countries. This led her to create the UK's first 'lifestyle' brand, bringing unique home items from places like India, Morocco, and Europe.

The first Graham & Green store opened in Notting Hill in 1974, showcasing Antonia's special collection of items from around the world. You can still visit this original store on Elgin Crescent today.

Evolution through Generations

Graham & Green has a rich history full of important moments. In 1980, they started creating hand-drawn mail-order catalogues to share their store's charm with more people.

They opened a new store in Primrose Hill in 1994, reflecting the brand's playful and free nature.

Antonia's son, Jamie, took a creative lead in 1998. Having studied at Kingston University, he began designing unique furniture collections, shifting Graham & Green from not only importing items but also creating them.

Then, in 1999, Graham & Green launched their first website, allowing people all across the UK to shop their collections online.

Milestones and Memories

Over time, Graham & Green has marked its journey with special products, like unique Birthday items with lovebird designs. After Antonia led the brand for 37 years, Jamie and Lou took over, pushing Graham & Green to grow even more.

They opened big stores in Bayswater and Bath in 2016. By 2018, Graham & Green updated their website to keep it modern and stylish for their customers.
