Description

Design. The black tiered mirror is an eye-catching piece, making a bold statement in any modern interior setting. The black engineered wood background surrounded by a slick gold iron finish, creates the perfect contrasting backdrop for the mirrored glass centre. If you are looking to introduce light and style into your hallway or dining room, the black tiered mirror is the ideal accessory.

Our Stylist Says

I love the black tiered mirror for its contemporary yet versatile appeal, making it a standout piece in various interiors. It works particularly well in modern or minimalist schemes, where its sleek black finish adds depth and sophistication. In more eclectic or boho spaces, it can serve as a bold statement, especially when paired with textured ceramics or greenery. Practical styling tips include hanging it above a console or dresser to create the illusion of more space and light, or leaning it against a wall in a hallway or bedroom for a relaxed, layered look. Highlighting its shape with subtle lighting or making it a focal point with complementary accessories can really enhance its impact.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
