Inspired by vintage design, the black console table reminded our Co-founder Jane of an antique Chinoiserie chest of drawers she found for her previous home. Some pieces of furniture immerse you in memory and a sense of nostalgia. For Jane, the chest of drawers holds a special place in her home as her daughter would sit in front of the drawers and imagine stories about the wonderful characters from each Chinoiserie scene. Reminiscent of this treasured chest, the vintage console table captures that same magic and offers the opportunity to create your own family stories for the fabulous figures hand-painted across the top of the tray. Rockett St George's Inspiring Start
Back in 2007, on a not-so-sunny Lanzarote vacation, Lucy and Jane had a bright idea by the pool. Both loved old markets and changing up their homes, so they thought, "Why not create an online store for unique home items?"
With Jane's skills in PR and photos and Lucy knowing all about selling, they started Rockett St George. They purchased a 'Website for Dummies' book, pooled their savings, and voilà - Rockett St George was launched!
What began as a twinkle in their eyes has today blossomed into a renowned brand, steered by over 50 passionate team members, 5 warehouses, 2,500 eclectic products, an award-winning blog, and two celebrated interior design books.
