Description

Our Black Bistro Chair takes inspiration from the classic 19th-century French bentwood chair style. A timeless design, it is perfect for use as a kitchen chair and can be easily stacked when not in use. This sturdy wooden chair has a shiny black finish, which will easily complement most interior themes.

Our Stylist Says

I love this chair for its classic, versatile silhouette and deep black finish, making it a timeless choice that can suit both traditional and contemporary dining spaces. It works particularly well in minimalist or industrial interiors, where its understated elegance can be highlighted with contrasting textures or colours. Practical styling tips include pairing it with a wooden or glass dining table for an eclectic look, or mixing it with other black or coloured chairs for a more playful table setting. Its durable design also makes it a reliable option for everyday use, while its sleek lines help to create a sense of space, even in smaller rooms.

About Graham & Green

Founded in 1974, Graham & Green are a family business that started in Notting Hill, and have many pieces that bring touch of individuality and character to any space.

The Inception of a Lifestyle Brand

In 1974, Antonia started Graham & Green after a trip to India. She wanted to be independent and worked with traders from different countries. This led her to create the UK's first 'lifestyle' brand, bringing unique home items from places like India, Morocco, and Europe.

The first Graham & Green store opened in Notting Hill in 1974, showcasing Antonia's special collection of items from around the world. You can still visit this original store on Elgin Crescent today.

Evolution through Generations

Graham & Green has a rich history full of important moments. In 1980, they started creating hand-drawn mail-order catalogues to share their store's charm with more people.

They opened a new store in Primrose Hill in 1994, reflecting the brand's playful and free nature.

Antonia's son, Jamie, took a creative lead in 1998. Having studied at Kingston University, he began designing unique furniture collections, shifting Graham & Green from not only importing items but also creating them.

Then, in 1999, Graham & Green launched their first website, allowing people all across the UK to shop their collections online.

Milestones and Memories

Over time, Graham & Green has marked its journey with special products, like unique Birthday items with lovebird designs. After Antonia led the brand for 37 years, Jamie and Lou took over, pushing Graham & Green to grow even more.

They opened big stores in Bayswater and Bath in 2016. By 2018, Graham & Green updated their website to keep it modern and stylish for their customers.
