This striking metal-framed bed is cleverly designed to work au naturel, with the frame on display loud and proud (and isn’t it a cracker?!) However, the square-set framework arcs cleverly above the bed to converge in a hoop from which you can drape linen, cotton or, if you’re feeling VERY posh, swathes of silk. This creates the classic four-poster look (they were originally designed to create a canopy around the bed to keep the cold out – think of it as a very fancy-pants draught excluder). The whole shebang is brought bang up to date with the addition of the Rockett St George signature stripe, which gives the piece a modern, directional feel. RSG co-founder Jane is adamant that our bedrooms are sacrosanct – a tranquil and treasured space in which we can retreat and relax.
