The Björk vase was designed by Sara Persson by Kosta Boda. The design was inspired by the forests and nature of southern Sweden’s Småland, where Birch trees are among the most common. “Björk” is Swedish for Birch, and the design is inspired by the black and white stems that are so characteristic for Birch trees. The vase is handmade and produced in Sweden.
I love this little vase for its versatile, contemporary look that works well in a range of interiors, from minimalist to eclectic. Its clear glass with abstract black and white patterns makes it a subtle statement piece that can hold a single flower or small arrangement to add interest without clutter. It’s particularly suited to modern or monochrome schemes, where its understated elegance can shine. Practical styling tips include pairing it with sleek, simple floral stems or using it as a standalone accent on shelves, side tables, or mantelpieces. Its compact size makes it perfect for small spaces or as an accent piece alongside other decorative objects.
