Price History
Description
Traditional in style, the Atlas bed features a detailed framework with antique brass finials - adding luxury to any bedroom. The Atlas has a steel frame finished with an epoxy powder coated paint process and is available in either a black or cream option. This frame also has a sprung slatted base to give natural bounce, adjusting to where pressure is most exerted to provide greater comfort. The maximum weight load for the 3' frame is 100 kg, and for all other sizes it is 250 kg. Please note Birlea beds are only suitable for a UK standard size mattress.
Our Stylist Says
I love this black metal bed frame for its sleek, minimalist appeal and timeless design. It works particularly well in contemporary or industrial interiors, where its bold lines can be showcased against neutral or minimal colour palettes. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with crisp linen or cotton bedding in contrasting shades like white, grey, or muted pastels for a calm, balanced look. Introducing textured throws or cushions can add visual interest and soften the metal frame. This bed also lends itself to eclectic schemes, where contrasting vintage or modern accessories can create a personalised, stylish bedroom space. Overall, it’s a versatile piece that combines classic charm with a modern edge.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
