Description

Add a touch of elegance to your ceiling with the Betty 1 Light Brass Flush Mount in Brass and Clear. The combination of brass and clear glass creates a timeless and sophisticated look. With its flush mount design and lattice glass detailing, this fixture offers both ambient illumination and a touch of classic charm to your living room or bedroom.

Our Stylist Says

I love this semi-flush glass light for adding a touch of vintage elegance with its brass finish and textured glass. It works particularly well in traditional or eclectic interiors, where its warm brass tone can complement wood accents or brushed metals. It's a versatile piece for upgrading spaces like hallways, over dining tables, or in bedrooms where you want to create a cosy, welcoming atmosphere. Practical styling tips include pairing it with warm LED bulbs to enhance its glow and mixing it with other brass or antique finishes for a curated, layered look. Its compact size means it can act as a statement feature without overwhelming smaller or lower-ceilinged rooms.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
