Description

Gorgeously create an eclectic style in your bedroom or living room with the Bert Banana LED Table Lamp in Black and Copper. The copper accents of this black table lamp adds a vintage pop of colour, accentuating the sleek design. The LED technology of this banana desk light combines with the frosted shades to compose a relaxing lighting layer, that also is energy efficient.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Bert Banana lamp’s playful yet sleek design, making it a great statement piece in both contemporary and eclectic interiors. Its combination of copper and black adds a touch of warmth and sophistication, perfect for modern living rooms, home offices, or bedside tables. To style it well, consider pairing it with minimalist furniture for a pop of personality or placing it on a desk to bring a bit of humour and light to your workspace. Practical tips include using it as a contextual accent in a neutral colour scheme, ensuring the copper detail shines, and keeping surrounding decor simple to let this quirky lamp be the focal point.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
