Description

The Benson Curved Floor Lamp is a perfect addition to your interior lighting arrangements, creating a fashionable style that matches well with any modern or industrial interior. The Satin Nickel floor lamp features a large, slim curving body that holds a dome shade, giving the fitting a minimal character and a modern edge due the nickel finish, held in place by a large, solid marble base. The dome shade holds a light that can be accurately directed wherever you choose, aiding in task lighting when needed or simply for accenting your room.

Our Stylist Says

I love this floor lamp because its elegant satin nickel finish and curved design bring a modern yet understated touch to any interior. It’s versatile enough to work well in a range of styles, from contemporary to minimalist or even mid-century spaces. Practical styling tips include positioning it beside a reading chair or sofa to add functional task lighting, and its sleek profile makes it ideal for smaller rooms or corner accents. The adjustable head offers directional light, which is perfect for creating cosy, focused atmospheres. Overall, it provides a blend of form and function, elevating any living space with its stylish simplicity.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
