Description

The Benson Curved Floor Lamp is a perfect addition to your interior lighting arrangements, creating a stylish look in any living room or dining room. The Copper floor lamp features a large, slim curving body that holds a dome shade, giving the fitting a minimal character while maintaining the vintage, industrial fashion evoked through the warm finish. The dome shade holds a light that can be accurately directed wherever you choose, aiding in task lighting when needed or simply for accenting your room.

Our Stylist Says

I love this copper floor lamp for its modern yet timeless appeal. Its curved design adds a subtle sculptural element to a room, making it an ideal choice for contemporary or eclectic interiors. It works particularly well in living rooms, reading nooks, or beside a statement armchair, where a warm, focused light is needed. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutral upholstery to let the metallic finish stand out or incorporating it into a layered lighting scheme with softer ambient lights. Its copper finish brings warmth and a hint of industrial chic, so it’s versatile enough to complement both minimalist and more eclectic decor styles.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
