The famous Bouroullec brothers create an incredible pendant that presents itself as an elegant sinuous leather strap, floating freely in space. The Belt pendant offers an illusion that mixes rigidity and flexibility. The long lower light strip (which contains the LED light sources) is rigid: it’s made of a very fine extruded aluminium structure covered with hand-sewn genuine leather. This rigid band is suspended from the ceiling by two flexible straps, also in leather. These suspension straps work like belts: their height can easily be adjusted by sliding them through metal buckles (max height 150 cm). The LED light sources contained in the long lower strip provide diffused, direct and indirect (up and down) lighting. The light runs right along the strip.
