Description
A compact barrel-style stool designed with a central opening to hold a parasol pole. Crafted in natural wood with dark metal-style bands, it combines rustic character with practical outdoor or indoor shade support. The natural finish highlights the wood grain and warm tones, giving each piece visible texture and variation. Its classic curved barrel shape creates a distinctive look, while the integrated centre hole allows it to function as a parasol stand. Measuring 38 x 32 cm, it offers a space-saving solution suitable for smaller seating areas. Ideal for pairing with matching barrel tables or using as an additional parasol base in garden rooms or covered patios, this stool blends traditional design with functional versatility.
Our Stylist Says
I love this barrel stool and parasol stand because of its versatile, rustic appeal. The natural wood finish with vintage-inspired black accents makes it a perfect addition to both traditional and industrial outdoor spaces. It adds character without overwhelming the surrounding decor, making it great for pairing with wicker furniture or metal garden settings. For styling tips, consider using it as a side table beside lounge chairs or as a stand for your parasol when not in use - it keeps everything practical yet charming. Its compact size also makes it an easy fit in smaller patios or garden corners, adding visual interest while remaining functional.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
