Founded in Roubaix, in the Hauts de France region (France), the Æquo studio has a regional approach to design, drawing inspiration from its surrounding environment. Æquo tells the story of its region, its history, its culture, its expertises, its materials, its industries, its designers, and so on. An inherent part of French cultural heritage, beer is a rooted element of the North's identity. The Hauts-de-France region is second-largest brewing region in the country. In the North, it isn't unusual to gift flowers and/or a beer bottle to someone when you're invited into their home. Beer & Add’on is a container which continues this ritual to transform an empty bottle into a single-stem vase. This project was achieved using 3D printing in the Æquo studio's boutique workshop, in the Vestiaire in Roubaix, and adapts to all 25-75 cl beer bottles.
I really like this bottle-to-vase accessory for its versatility and upcycling appeal. It’s perfect for adding a minimalist touch to contemporary interiors, especially in kitchens, dining areas, or even on a floating shelf where its simple form can be appreciated. I’d suggest pairing it with flowers or greenery that complement the colour palette of your space-think soft pastels or lush greens-to create a fresh, curated look. Practical styling tips include using it in multiples for a more impactful display or placing it unexpectedly in a bathroom or bedroom for a modern, eclectic vibe. Its understated design makes it easy to incorporate into various interior styles while bringing a hint of creative sustainability.
