I’m a fan of this black oval coffee table for its slim profile and clever two-tier design, which keeps living spaces feeling light yet organised. The matte black frame and smoked glass shelves suit modern, industrial or Scandi-inspired rooms, pairing neatly with neutral sofas or bolder jewel-toned accents. Styling-wise, I’d group a low vase and candle on one end of the top tier, leaving the other side clear so the shape can breathe. Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
