The acanthus style leaves that scroll across this bedlinen are based on a French textile design from the 1860s by J.D. Cornuaud held in the V&A’s Prints & Drawings archive. The all-over scroll foilage pattern is shown in indigo blue and white tones and the reverse features an elegant stripe & leaf design. Printed on 200 thread count 100% cotton percale and sourced through the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI). Available in single double king and super king sizes and finished with a concealed transparent button opening along the bottom. Oxford and square single pillowcases each with the same design are sold separately. Machine washable tumble dry safe.
I love this bedding for its classic botanical pattern in a versatile indigo blue and white, which adds timeless elegance to a space. It works particularly well in traditional or coastal-inspired interiors, but can also add a sophisticated touch to more modern schemes when paired with simple, crisp textiles. When styling, consider layering this bedding with textured throws or cushions in complementary shades to enhance its intricate design. Keep the rest of the room understated to let the pattern stand out, and position it in rooms with plenty of natural light to highlight the crisp, fresh feel of the colours. Perfect for someone looking to bring a refined botanical element into their sleep space without fuss.
