Description

This white spotlight bar brings practical, stylish lighting into your home, with each spotlight head having the ability to be adjusted to shine towards the areas where it will be most useful. The sleek white design has a brighter look and is ideal for a décor with a lighter palette, with smooth cylindrical shapes giving a minimalistic edge to the fitting. Ideal for the kitchen, the lights can each be adjusted to suit your needs!.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of the barley spotlight for its clean lines and flexible heads - you can direct light exactly where you need it, whether that’s over a kitchen island, a hallway console or a living-room gallery wall. Its all-white finish blends effortlessly into modern, Scandi or minimalist schemes, while the slim bar keeps the ceiling view uncluttered. Styling tip: fit warm-white LED bulbs and add a dimmer switch so you can shift from bright task lighting to a softer glow at night. Angle one or two heads towards wall art and the others towards seating or workspace to create layers of light. It’s a straightforward way to lift any room without overpowering your décor.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
