Description

The Barley 4 Light Ceiling Spotlight Bar in satin brass brings practical illumination into your home. With 4 adjustable spotlights, you can emit light to even the drabbest of corners. The satin brass effect adds a stylish and sleek finish which makes it stand out.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this satin-brass spotlight bar for its clean lines and adjustable heads - you can zone light exactly where you need it, whether that’s over a kitchen island or highlighting artwork. The warm metallic finish complements both Scandi-inspired neutrals and richer mid-century palettes, adding a modern edge without feeling cold. For best results, fit LED GU10 bulbs to keep the light crisp and energy efficient, then aim two spots at focal points (a dining table or shelving) and the others for general illumination. In a hallway, use it to showcase family photos or ceramics; in an open-plan living space, group seating under the brightest beam and reserve softer angles for mood lighting.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
