Description

The Bamboo Dome Shade in Minty Blue is a great addition to your home’s interior lighting set up, with a light pop of colour that brightens up your space and creates a modern, scandi look in your room. Perfect above any kitchen island or breakfast bar, the pendant shade projects an optimal illumination down into your spaces – a great task lighting opportunity for any kitchen.

Our Stylist Says

I love this shade for its fresh, modern take on natural materials. The minty blue combined with the bamboo dome adds a soothing touch of colour that’s versatile for a variety of interiors, especially in coastal, Scandinavian, or contemporary schemes. It works well in kitchens, dining areas, or cosy living rooms where a subtle pop of colour and texture can make a difference. Practical styling tips include pairing it with minimalist, light-toned furnishings to enhance its calming vibe or hanging it above a wooden dining table for a harmonious, organic aesthetic. Its easyfit design makes it a practical choice for effortless updated lighting, making it both functional and decorative.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
