If self-care had a physical form, it'd be the thoughtful, functional homeware by Slowliving Studio. Each of their collaborative, artistic pieces is designed to make you take a minute – breathe it in. The Ballou Throw was designed by Taiwanese artist Dig A Hole – one of the twelve winners of the 2018 Slowdown Art Comp. All Slowdown Studio woven blankets are spun from 100% USA-grown cotton, and this one's made from a 70% recycled cotton blend – sustainable as well as soul-sparking. Their heavy weight makes them just as at home on your sofa as hung on your wall as unusual art.
I really like the Ballou Throw for its playful yet sophisticated design-its bold, abstract pattern adds a contemporary touch that can elevate both modern and eclectic interiors. It's versatile enough to work well draped over a sofa or layered on a bed for that added cosy factor. I’d recommend pairing it with neutral cushions or bedding to let the pattern stand out, or mixing it with other textured pieces for a more layered, tactile look. Its size and quality make it practical - perfect for adding warmth on chilly evenings or simply bringing a splash of colour and personality to a living space.
