The Baga rug 250x350 cm from the Swedish brand Chhatwal & Jonsson is a gorgeous, environmentally friendly carpet made from high quality and sustainable materials. Hand-tufted to give it a soft and beautiful lustre, the Candra rug bears a striking geometric pattern that is perfect for the living room or bedroom. The carpet has been carefully crafted from lyocell, a highly durable material made from cellulose that is completely compostable and 100% biodegradable. Lyocell is also a hugely sustainable resource, requiring significantly less land and irrigation to cultivate compared to traditional textile materials such as cotton. The rug is manufactured responsibly without using any harmful chemicals, using a specialized close-cycle process where more than 99% of the solvent used can be recycled for future products. If placed underneath furniture, we recommend using furniture pads to properly protect the rug, as well as a carpet underlay if using it on sensitive surfaces.
