Our Stylist Says
I’m a fan of this oak desk for its clean lines and smart storage - the cubby and slide-out shelf mean you can tuck away mice, keyboards and paperwork without fuss. Its light oak finish works equally well in Scandi-inspired schemes or more industrial spaces when paired with a black metal lamp and a simple wire-frame shelf. To style it practically at home, add a couple of low-profile houseplants on one side to introduce greenery, then balance them with a slim desk organiser or tray on the other. Keep cables hidden with adhesive clips under the tabletop, and choose a soft-upholstered task chair in a muted tone for comfort and a cohesive look.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
