The stunning Azalea corner sofa is beautifully upholstered in sumptuous velvet, creating a showstopping piece perfect for adding a touch of style and luxury to your living space. The plump fixed seat and back cushions feature precise buttoned details- a contemporary twist on a classic design which looks great in both traditional and modern interiors. Opt for rich teal for a bold and vibrant look, or choose muted navy, grey or black for sophisticated appeal.

Our Stylist Says

The Azalea right hand facing corner sofa is a fantastic statement piece that combines contemporary style with classic detailing. I love how its tailored, tufted upholstery adds a touch of sophistication, making it versatile enough for both modern and traditional interiors. It works well in spacious living rooms or open-plan spaces, especially when paired with bold colours or textured accessories to create a focal point. For practical styling, consider adding a mix of patterned and plain cushions to soften the look and enhance comfort. Its sleek legs lift the piece off the floor, giving it a lighter feel, and making it easier to vacuum underneath - perfect for those who value both style and practicality.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
