I’m a fan of these light-tan swivel stools because their subtle channel-stitch back and slim metal legs give you a modern-retro look without shouting for attention. They work equally well in industrial-style kitchens with exposed brick and concrete surfaces or in pared-back Scandi spaces where their warm tone brings a bit of cosiness. For styling, line them evenly along a breakfast bar and hang a couple of simple pendant lights above to define the spot. Keep colours around them neutral - soft greys, off-white walls or a charcoal paint on the island - then tie in a few black-framed shelves or metal accents to echo the stools’ legs.
