Description
Named after the North American Aviation XB-70 Valkyrie; the strategic bomber prototype used for supersonic test flights in the 1960s. The aerodynamic shape of the Timothy Oulton Valkyrie desk is clad entirely in our signature Spitfire finish in homage to one of the greatest fighter planes ever built; the British Supermarine Spitfire, which ruled the skies in World War II.Mimicking the planes riveted exterior, aluminium panels are painstaking shaped and then fixed by hand-applied nails. A five-stage finishing process creates the impression of worn, distressed metal.

I’m a big fan of the Blackhawk desk for its sleek, aviation-inspired silhouette and solid aluminium finish. It works best in contemporary or industrial interiors - think exposed brick, concrete floors or dark-timber accents - where its sculptural form can stand out without competing with ornate surroundings.
To style it practically, keep the desktop clutter-free: use a slim metal or matte-black lamp, a minimal leather-upholstered desk chair and one or two small accessories - a black tray for stationery and a single potted plant in a monochrome pot. If you need extra storage, pair it with low-profile cabinets in charcoal or walnut to introduce a warm contrast against the cool metal.
