Description

Blending both modern and traditional styling, combining a rustic wooden top with a smooth satin finish, the Whitesands 1200 from AVF creates a contemporary yet homely feel in the living room. With ease-of-assembly by design, it features two large open compartments, which are ideal for soundbars, consoles, media players, and other large AV equipment. Ample closed storage is also provided to the right, by two shelves with premium soft close hinges on the door. In all four compartments, cable management openings at the rear ensure unsightly wires are kept from view for a clean and elegant appearance. Beautiful rustic wood upper surface Cable management features keep wires neatly out of sight Easy to assemble Any maximum TV size quoted is a recommendation only and the exact dimensions of the TV's pedestal/feet should be checked to ensure it fits prior to purchase.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of the Whitesands stand for its clean lines and subtle mix of matt-white carcass with a light oak-effect top. It works particularly well in Scandi, contemporary or minimalist settings, where you want a low-profile unit that won’t compete with your wall-mounted TV or gallery wall. For styling, use the open shelves for neatly stacked magazines or two matching baskets to conceal gaming consoles and cables (the rear cable ports make this easy). On the top surface, keep it simple with a small plant or sculptural lamp at one end and a slimline soundbar centred beneath the screen.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
