Our Stylist Says
The Austin velvet divan bed base with its 54" floor-standing headboard and handy storage drawers offers a sleek, modern look that’s versatile for a variety of interiors. I love how the black velvet upholstery adds a touch of luxury and sophistication, making it work equally well in contemporary, glam, or even minimalist spaces when paired with the right accessories. For styling, consider contrasting textures like linen or faux fur throws, and minimal, sculptural bedside lamps to enhance its polished appearance. The drawers provide practical storage, making it perfect for smaller bedrooms or those aiming for a clutter-free aesthetic. Overall, it’s a smart blend of style and function that can anchor a chic, streamlined bedroom setup.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
