The Austin Plush Velvet Side Opening Ottoman Divan Storage Bed Base with 54" Floor Standing Upholstered Headboard combines timeless style with lasting support. Mattress not included. Exclusively manufactured in the UK. Featuring a solid, non-slip platform base. A solid top base provides a firm, stable surface for your mattress, eliminating the bouncy feel and poor edge support often experienced with slatted bases, allowing your mattress to benefit you to its full potential. The base comes with solid wood throughout the inside of the storage compartments, offering a luxurious look when opened, with a wooden floor also so your storage isn't just sitting on your floor. The matching headboard is crafted with soft, cushioned vertical panels, with hand finished upholstery for stunning appeal as well as comfort when sitting up in bed. Internal storage dimensions vary by bed size, typically 4-6cm smaller in length and width than the total bed size. All ottoman beds provide 24cm of discreet under bed storage, easily accessed with smooth, gas-assisted side-lift pistons (600N800. N depending on size). Perfect for modern spaces, this Ottoman bed is expertly made by our skilled craftsmen in the UK and meets all UK safety and quality standards. 2FT. 6 and 3FT ottomans arrive as one base piece, and have one storage compartment, 4FT and above arrive as 2 pieces and thus have two separate storage spaces. Our Stylist Says
I love this navy plush velvet ottoman bed for its smart combination of style and practicality. The solid wood frame and floor-standing headboard create a sleek, contemporary look that works well in modern and eclectic interiors. Its storage function makes it especially useful for bedrooms that need a little extra organisation, without sacrificing design. To style around it, consider pairing with neutral bedding or soft textiles to let the rich navy upholstery stand out, and add textured cushions for a layered feel. This piece is versatile enough to complement both minimalist spaces and luxe interiors, making it a great choice for those seeking a functional yet stylish focal point in their bedroom.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
