The Austin Plush Velvet Side Opening Ottoman Divan Storage Bed Base with 54" Floor Standing Upholstered Headboard combines timeless style with lasting support. Mattress not included. Exclusively manufactured in the UK. Featuring a solid, non-slip platform base. A solid top base provides a firm, stable surface for your mattress, eliminating the bouncy feel and poor edge support often experienced with slatted bases, allowing your mattress to benefit you to its full potential. The base comes with solid wood throughout the inside of the storage compartments, offering a luxurious look when opened, with a wooden floor also so your storage isn't just sitting on your floor. The matching headboard is crafted with soft, cushioned vertical panels, with hand finished upholstery for stunning appeal as well as comfort when sitting up in bed. Base Height 34.5cm or 37.5cm with gliders attached (base can be used with or without gliders). Internal storage dimensions vary by bed size, typically 4-6cm smaller in length and width than the total bed size. All ottoman beds provide 24cm of discreet under bed storage, easily accessed with smooth, gas-assisted side-lift pistons (600N800. N depending on size). Perfect for modern spaces, this Ottoman bed is expertly made by our skilled craftsmen in the UK and meets all UK safety and quality standards. 2FT. 6 and 3FT ottomans arrive as one base piece, and have one storage compartment, 4FT and above arrive as 2 pieces and thus have two separate storage spaces. Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
