At 54 tall, this floor standing headboard creates a striking focal point, offering both visual grandeur and superior back support for reading or relaxing in bed. Expertly handcrafted in the UK, the Austin combines durability with elegance, perfectly complementing both modern and classic interiors. Designed to pair seamlessly with all standard UK divan bases. Headboard height from the floor is 54" 137cm, the front panel of the headboard is 32" 81cm. This headboard can be fitted into your existing base with screws or simply placed behind your bed and against the wall.
Our Stylist Says
I love this headboard because of its rich navy velvet finish, which adds a touch of sophistication and texture to any bedroom. It works really well in contemporary spaces or more modern interiors, especially when paired with neutral tones or metallic accents. The plush velvet not only offers a luxurious feel but also helps to soften the look of a room. For practical styling, consider keeping bedding simple with crisp white or muted colours to let the headboard be the focal point. Layer in cushions and throws in complementary shades or subtle patterns for added depth and comfort. Its sizeable, padded design also makes it ideal for creating a cosy, inviting atmosphere.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
