I’d call this the plum velvet wingback bed, and what I love most is its deep button-tufted headboard that instantly brings a sense of luxury without feeling over the top. The rich plum velvet works brilliantly in modern-glam or art-deco inspired rooms, and it’s equally at home against soft grey walls or bolder jewel-toned palettes. To style, keep bedding crisp in whites or pale greys and add a couple of velvet or faux-fur cushions in varying textures. Pair with brass or black-metal bedside lamps and a simple, neutral rug to let the bed remain the focal point. A slim console table or floating shelves above can balance the winged profile without cluttering the floor space.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
