Our Stylist Says
I’m a fan of this light-green Chesterfield winged velvet bed frame because its deep button-tufting and soft velvet finish create a cosy yet sophisticated focal point. The pale pistachio hue works especially well in contemporary or mid-century schemes, and it can lean into an art-deco look if you pair it with brass accents or a geometric wallpaper. To style it, choose crisp white or dove-grey linens for contrast, then layer on textured throws and cushions in muted tones - think slate, blush or charcoal. Tuck simple bedside tables either side, add a low-pile rug that picks up on the bed’s colouring, and bring in a couple of leafy plants to balance the velvet’s luxe feel with natural freshness.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
