Description

One of our most sophisticated ceiling lights, the Aubrey pendant light in brass gives a classy, yet distinctively modern look to any interior. The 3 tier pendant fitting features frosted glass rods, which form a shade around the lights for a softer, more ambient glow in the room. With brass accents, this elegant pendant light is the perfect centrepiece for any bedroom, living room, or dining room, bringing a refined elegance into the heart of your home.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Aubrey frosted glass pendant for its timeless elegance and versatility. The brass finish adds a touch of warmth, making it suitable for both contemporary and classic interiors. It works particularly well in living rooms, dining areas, or bedrooms where a statement piece is desired, but it’s also subtle enough to blend seamlessly into more neutral spaces. Practical styling tips include pairing it with minimalistic furniture to highlight the chandelier’s intricate design or using multiple in a staircase hall for added drama. Its layered frosted glass diffuses light beautifully, creating a soft, inviting ambience-perfect for everyday living or special occasions.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
