The Athena cushion is inspired by Greek mythology, featuring vibrant prints of mythological creatures on luxurious velvet. The soft tranquil tones and pops of colour, create a dreamy, imaginative feel. A velvet ruffled frill trim and a contrasting reverse add a touch of elegance, making this cushion a stylish addition to any space. Pair with the matching bedding for the complete look.
Our Stylist Says
I love this cushion for its playful yet sophisticated mix of lilac and mineral tones, which make it versatile for both contemporary and eclectic interiors. The velvet finish adds a touch of luxe, making it perfect for softening up a neutral sofa or bed. It works particularly well in kids’ rooms, boho spaces, or even in a layered scheme on a statement armchair. For styling tips, try pairing it with textured fabrics like knits or woven throws to enhance its tactile appeal, or add other cushions in complementary colours to create a curated, cosy look. Its vibrant design also makes it a great focal point in a neutral setting, instantly injecting personality into the space.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
