I’m a fan of the Astbury 3-drawer unit because its clean lines and contrasting oak-effect top slot straight into modern-Scandi or coastal schemes, yet it’s neutral enough for more classic bedrooms too. The three roomy drawers mean you can tuck away bedside clutter, jewellery or charging cables, while the painted finish is easy to keep fresh.
Styling tip: treat the top as a mini vignette - a simple lamp, a small plant in a ceramic pot and perhaps a stack of coffee-table books. If you need a dressing area, push it under a wall-mounted mirror. White walls or pastel tones will really let it stand out, and layering in soft textiles (linen throws, woollen rugs) keeps the look inviting.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
