Conceptualised ahead of its time in 1946 and unveiled over a decade later in 1958, the Aslak Chair from Artek is a seamless example of Ilmari Tapiovaara's understanding of plasticity. Crafted in Italy with a beech plywood seat and back with a solid beech frame and legs, the compact design stacks up to four chairs at a time. Designed to work in all spaces, from the living room to the office, the lightweight and versatile Aslak's curvaceous seat and backrest offer the sitter hours of comfort and optimal ergonomics.
