I’m a fan of the Askim table for its clean lines and subtle wood grain - it slots neatly into Scandi, contemporary or modern-farmhouse schemes. The compact footprint and concealed storage make it ideal beside a sofa or in a cosy reading nook. Styling tip: balance height with a rounded lamp or sculptural vase, add a small plant for freshness and lay a couple of art or design books under a decorative object to create layers. Keep the colour palette muted - greys, off-whites and soft greens work especially well - and let the wood tone take centre stage.
